One afternoon Ebonie Louise Bru and her mother went to the beach and recorded some of the music video scenes for a song called ‘Obsessed’. This sparked that passion again and she kept working on it since. In April 2020, Bru created a music video for the song and uploaded the song onto YouTube and most social media platforms. For a week, Bru travelled to Queensland with her family, which was a good opportunity to capture more footage for the music video. Her father, mother, brother, and grandmother helped her to put her imagination into the music video.

A very talented young artist from Australia named Ebonie Louise Bru, a 17-year-old Australian/Mauritian currently studying Year 12 at the St John Paul 2nd Catholic College. Bru’s hobbies are dancing, writing songs, and producing her music. Although she’s young, Bru puts a lot of hard work into making music, which shows how passionate she is about achieving her goals in life. Says fan Mohammed Zaarour, “Ebonie herself stands out to the crowd due to how young of an artist she is with the number of successful songs she has already created.”

In 2019, Bru had written the song ‘Obsessed’. The song was written about love and obsession with someone. This was the first song Bru wrote. She made a draft of the song on garage band and showed it to her parents. She recalls, “They loved it!” Starting from a young age, Bru loved to write songs and she had already written many songs. At that point, she went to the studio to professionally record a song. The song was mixed and mastered by an amazing studio called Safe House Studios. In a Podcast, Bru talked about her ongoing music career. As well as her future approach towards music. “Something I hope to achieve with my music is for people to feel the way I felt when creating the song,” Bru said.​
